SSO for organisations
Single Sign-On is an account security feature that makes logging in easier for users and compliance simpler for administrators.
SSO is included in the Enterprise plan and available as an add-on to the Agile and Business plans.
Addressfinder supports Security Assertion Markup Language version 2.0 (SAML 2.0) which allows for the creation and authentication of user accounts to be deferred to an Identity Provider (IdP).
Once SSO is setup for your organisation, users will be redirected to log in via your organisation’s IdP.
Setting up SAML
- Log in to the Portal using the regular login pathway.
- Go to the Single Sign-On section and click on Configure Single Sign-On.
- Register a new SAML 2.0 application with your IdP. If you need to pass Addressfinder’s information to your provider first, get the following values below from the Portal:
- Service Provider Entity ID (also called Audience Restriction or Audience URI).
- Sign-On URL.
- Reply URL (also called Assertion Consumer Service URL).
- Set the Application username to
Email
. - Copy the Metadata URL or Metadata XML from your IdP application and paste it in the Addressfinder Portal.
- Once you've configured all the settings above, you can click on Enable SSO.
The Single Sign-On section is only visible in the Portal to Owners of organisations on the Enterprise plan or with the SSO add-on.
